Healesville High School

The focus of the Senior School is the achievement of academic excellence. We also place great emphasis on positioning students, at the completion of their secondary schooling, with the study scores and certificates that allow them to progress towards their chosen careers. In order to create targeted learning plans and appropriate course selection, student's career interviews begin before they enter the Senior School and continue throughout their senior years.

 

At Healesville High School, our students are able to adapt their senior program to meet individual needs and goals. We offer the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), the Victorian Certificate of Education Vocational Major (VCE VM) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses, facilitated through our partnership with a cluster of schools in the Yarra Valley. This allows us to provide our students with a wide range of courses.

 

We are able to provide a unique and personal senior school experience for our students, with small class sizes allowing students to benefit from one on one attention from their teachers. We also pride ourselves on the co-operative community atmosphere which exists between staff, students, parents and the broader Healesville community. A vibrant, yet calm and orderly learning environment, provides our students with the greatest opportunities for academic success. 

 

All senior students are provided with access to Edrolo, which is an online resource designed to provide students with engaging, informative and comprehensive presentations, to complement the teaching and learning in their classrooms. This resource provides an additional level of support to help students understand and consolidate the required skills and knowledge.
